On behalf of Chief Paul R. Toussaint, the Rochester Police Department releases the following:
On July 10, 2018, at about 1:20 AM, Rochester Police, Fire and Frisbie EMS, responded to Chestnut Hill Rd, in the area of Governor’s Rd and Cross Rd, for a single vehicle motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.
Upon arrival, responding personnel located the motorcycle, a blue 2017 Harley Davidson FLHX Street Glide, on its side in the culvert and the driver, Jeremy Brownell, 37, of Rochester, lying on the ground near the motorcycle being tended to by a witness. Brownell had obvious injuries, however the extent of the injuries is not known, but they appear to be non-life threatening. Brownell was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries and the motorcycle was towed from the scene.
Preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling north on Chestnut Hill Rd when it crossed over the center line and crossed into the opposite lane of travel and onto the dirt shoulder of the southbound side of the road before coming to rest in the culvert.
This collision remains under investigation. If anyone has any further information pertaining to this collision, please contact Ofc.
