On behalf of Chief Paul R. Toussaint, the Rochester Police Department releases the following:
On August 18th at approximately 12:30 PM the Rochester Police responded to 160 Washington Street, Lowe’s Plaza, for the report of a multi vehicle accident. When the officer arrived on scene he found a 2018 Uhaul van driven by Steven Corbin Of Rochester, which was entering the plaza when it struck a 2007 TK Hummer, driven by John Harnois of Lebanon Maine, which had stopped and had begun travelling west. This collision caused the Hummer to strike a 2005 Mercedes, driven by Cynthia Allen of Wells Maine, which was stopped across the intersection facing east.
One of the drivers was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for non life threatening injuries. The Hummer and Uhaul van were towed from the scene and the Mercedes was driven.
This accident is still being investigated and charges are unknown at this time.
