On behalf of Chief Paul R. Toussaint, the Rochester Police Department releases the following:
On 09.10.2018, Rochester Police, Fire, and Frisbie EMS responded to Columbus Avenue for the report of a three car motor vehicle accident.
Through the investigation, officers found that Jeff Wiggin, 48, of Strafford, NH was driving north in a 2018 GMC Sierra when he rear ended vehicles that were stopped at the traffic light. The pick-up truck first struck a 2009 Hyundai Sonata, being driven by Gail Lyle, 64, of Bardina, NY. The car was pushed into a third vehicle, 2004 Dodge Ram, being driven by Lorraine Keen, 71, of Rochester, NH.
Wiggins and Lyle were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The GMC Sierra and Hyundai Sonata had to be towed from the scene, while the Dodge Ram was able to be driven away.
The Rochester Police Department is still investigating the traffic collision and requests that anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Ofc Justin Worthley.
