On 01-30-19 at 9:13 AM, Rochester Police, Rochester Fire and Frisbie EMS responded to a bus accident on Chestnut Hill Road in the area of Chestnut Hill Mobile Home Park. Officers on scene determined that a vehicle headed toward Spaulding High School slowed to make a right turn in to Chestnut Hill Mobile Home Park. The vehicle following, a Jeep Patriot operated by Brandon Hanscom, age 17 of Wakefield, slowed as the vehicle in front of him was making the turn. Following the Jeep was a Wakefield School District bus operated by Kelley Bushman, age 55 of Ossipee, NH. The bus was occupied by approximately 40 students at the time of the collision. The bus braked, but slid on the snow covered road and stuck the rear of the Jeep. Both vehicles suffered damage. The bus was driven from the scene, but the Jeep needed to be towed. The operator of the Jeep was transported to Frisbie Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Three students on the bus were transported to Frisbie Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Weather was a factor in the collision.
