Rochester – On the morning of April 25, 2019, Rochester Police received reports from First City Motors at 16 Milton Road, and from Healey Auto Repair at 31 Milton Road for numerous vehicles that were vandalized. There were thirteen (13) vehicles vandalized at First City, and two (2) at Healey’s Auto. The damaged ranged from fire extinguishers being set off inside of cars, to the windshields being smashed out, to cars being keyed, exterior lights being smashed, and damage to the roofs, hoods and mirrors.
Both locations had video surveillance. A lone male was seen causing the damage. A description went out to all Rochester Officers. Shortly after 1pm today, a patrol officer spotted a subject walking downtown North Main Street matching the description of the suspect in the video. Subsequently, police arrested PAUL J. JAVARUSKI, 24 years old with no known address. Javaruski was charged with:
First City Motors – aggregated all the damage to one charge of Class B Felony Criminal Mischief
Healey’s Auto – one Class B Felony Criminal Mischief, one Class A Misdemeanor of Criminal Mischief, and one Class A Misdemeanor of theft (from one of the cars).
Javaruski was held on preventative detention (no bail), and will be arraigned at Strafford Superior Court on 4/26/2019.
