On Sunday April 28, 2019, around 3:00 pm, Rochester Police arrested Jason Potter, age 33, no known address, for Operating after being Certified as Habitual Offender (a class B Felony); 3 Misdemeanor offenses for Reckless Driving, Disobeying an Officer, and Resisting Arrest/Detention, as well as several other motor vehicle violations after Potter attempted to elude Police during a traffic stop on North Main St.
Potter pulled over for the Officer when the stop was first initiated, but then fled in his vehicle after the Officer approached his vehicle. The Officer was then unable to locate Potter in his vehicle, however Potter was later scene walking in the area of Congress St a short time later. When located, Potter then ran from the Officer, however was quickly detained and arrested.
In addition to the above charges, Potter had an active warrant for a Parole Violation. Potter was arrested and taken into custody for all the charges and brought to Strafford County Jail. Potter was arraigned on Monday April 29, 2019 at Strafford County Superior Court.
