Crimeline and RPBA would like to recognize and thank Wal-Mart for being the Corporate Sponsor for the Crimeline and Rochester Police Benevolent Association’s Annual Golf Tournament.
Wal-Mart sponsored the Annual Golf Tournament this year at $2500, which will help cover costs and provides funding for additional needs in the community.
The Annual Golf Tournament is held to build up the Crimeline reward account offered for information pertinent to solving important cases to the Rochester Police Department. Some of these cases have involved thefts, burglaries, drug trafficking and other serious crimes.
The money that is provided from this tournament to the Rochester Police Benevolent Association goes directly back into the community through donations provided to fire victims, medical expenses, scholarships and sports teams amongst many other requests we receive through the year. The Rochester Police Benevolent Association is the charitable arm of the Rochester Police Department that allows us to give back to the community that which has been given to us.
The support that Wal-Mart gives to these two organizations is a huge asset and they have been “Partners with Blue” for years, assisting our Department with many needs from youth activities to donations for Christmas relief to donations for food and shelter items. The partnership continues to grow and serve in many areas and the Annual Golf Tournament is just one more example of this great relationship!!
