Rochester – On July 3, 2019 at 12:41pm, Rochester Police, Rochester Fire, and Frisbie EMS responded to the area of 160 Farmington Road for a rollover accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2001 Jeep Wrangler, driven by James J. Fetter, 68 years old of Middleton, NH, was driving westbound on Farmington Road when he approached a vehicle in front of him stopped to turn left into a driveway. Fetter maneuvered hard to the right avoiding the stopped car, but proceeded off the roadway down an embankment into a small river at which time the vehicle landed on its roof.
Gas was leaking out of the vehicle so witnesses removed Fetter from the Jeep and rendered aid. Fetter was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Farmington Road remained opened thanks to the help of NH State Police and Farmington Police who assisted with traffic control.
The case remains under investigation.
