On Wednesday July 17, 2019, around 9:00 am, Rochester Police, Fire and Frisbie EMS responded to Farmington Rd, in the area of Volkswagen of Rochester, for a reported two vehicle motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment.
Preliminary investigation indicates a gray 2003 Chevy Tahoe, driven by George Ballou (age 45) of Farmington, was traveling north on Farmington Rd when it crossed the solid yellow line and struck an oncoming southbound vehicle, a tan 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, driven by Jane Cumming (age ) of Alton Bay.
Due to the extent of the damage to her vehicle, Cumming had to be extricated and was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and towed from the scene. Ballou was transported to Frisbie Hospital for precautionary reasons.
As a result of the accident, Ballou was issued a summons for NH RSA 265:22 – Highway Markings
Ballou was also involved in a motor vehicle accident just prior this that resulted in another vehicle striking a residence on Washington St. Both accidents are still under investigation at this time.
