On Wednesday April 22, 2020 at approximately 6:45 PM Rochester Police, Rochester Fire, and Frisbie EMS responded to the area of 58 Old Dover Road for a single car rollover motor vehicle accident. Emergency personnel arrived on scene to find one vehicle with heavy damage that appeared to have rolled over, but was upright. A second vehicle was located with damage to the rear of the vehicle.
The preliminary investigation revealed that David Ellis, 53, of Rochester, NH, was operating a Mercury Grand Marquis traveling south on Old Dover Road when he lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway causing the vehicle to rollover. After the Grand Marquis left the roadway it struck an unoccupied, legally parked Mercury Mountaineer, causing damage to the rear of the vehicle. Ellis was evaluated on scene for minor injuries, but was not transported to the hospital.
Ellis was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence, a class B misdemeanor offense.
